Colleen grew up on the beautiful Olympic Peninsula just outside of Port Townsend, WA. There, she began her career as a dental assistant in 1977. She married in 1979 and soon thereafter moved to Lynnwood. She and her husband Dave consider raising their son Jake the greatest joy of their lives. Colleen enjoys most anything that involves the outdoors, including hiking, wild birds, organic gardening, and much to the chagrin of her friends, 'worm ranching.' Her newest challenge/adventure is raising Mason bees.

Colleen loves the energy around children and enjoys making their early dental experiences positive. She takes great pride when parents tell her that their kids 'actually enjoy coming to the dentist!' Colleen enjoys spending her free time with kids teaching them how to cook and press flowers. In addition, she also hosts and mentors an annual gingerbread house making contest for kids in her community.
